Best Three Bengali Dishes

          West Bengal is famous for an array of things , and food most important among of them. All the dishes in regular Bengali food are equally delicious. There are uncountable items in regular Bengali food like- Shukto, Aloo Potol Posto, Dal, macher jhol, shorshe ilish , mutton kosha, chicken kosha , dimer dalna, chingri macher malai kari , rosogolla, sondesh, misti doi etc. Among all of these mouthwatering dishes three recipes are given below.

  Shukto : 

Shukto is a popular mixed vegetable dish in Bengali regular food. It usually served with rice in Bengal. This recipe is delightful recipe of mixed vegetables that cooked in a mustard and poppy seed masala , panch phoron and milk. This dish has a very strong taste of mustard. One of the core vegetables that added to this regular Bengali food is bitter gourd, along with raw banana , potatoes , carrot and drumstick. Anyone can of course add their own choice of vegetables , and experiment with this dish. This is not only a tasty but also a healthy regular Bengali food.

Shorshe Ilish:

Shorshe ilish is another delicious dish among all the regular Bengali food. This is an authentic ilish fish recipe which is prepared in Bengal houses since ages. In this preparation , hilsa fish slices are cooked in mustard paste with lot of green chilies and drizzle of mustard oil . Mutton Kosha:

Mutton kosha is an iconic Bengal delicacy. This is a very popular traditional curry in Bengal. This regular Bengali food recipe requires a lot of patience and time. Mutton kosha is a rich flavored spicy goat meat curry where the juicy goat meat pieces are coated with thick velvety dark brown gravy. In the preparation of this Bengali food marinated meat is slow cooked in its own juice with lots of onion- ginger-garlic-chili paste , a few specific spices using  minimum amount of water. This Bengali food is mostly accompanied with basmati polau in occasions. But it also tastes beautiful with hot steamed rice or roti.
